Safe Crisis Management (SCM) is a comprehensive staff training focused on the prevention, de-escalation and safe intervention of challenging behavior in the classroom. SCM provides staff with a capacity to prevent and safely respond to behaviors of concern through using a trauma sensitive approach to building positive relationships. The curriculum includes understanding students in your care, identifying and understanding behaviors of concern, promoting positive growth and behavior, using function based behavior support planning, intervention judgement, debriefing and documentation.
